Yard Operations

Job Description

We are seeking a Yard Operations Assistant to join our team at Bayview Building Materials. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with yard materials, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining a safe work environment in the lumber yard and warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and evaluate their needs to provide appropriate assistance.
• Work with sales and yard teams to ensure prompt customer service.
• Load and unload materials, checking for accuracy and quantity.
• Develop knowledge of materials and assist in cutting materials for customers.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Previous experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
