Job Description

Kate's K9 Pet Care is seeking a dedicated and responsible Dog Walker to join our team in providing exceptional pet care services to the Alexandria, Arlington, Fort Washington, Lorton, National Harbor, Oxon Hill, Waldorf, and nearby communities. As a Dog Walker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and positive walking environment, providing detailed and attentive care for pets, and offering house-sitting duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and positive walking environment for our client's dogs.
• Provide detailed and attentive care for our client's cats and other small animals (guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, etc.).
• Perform house-sitting duties as requested by the client.
• Transport client pets.
• Availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred.
• Remain flexible to accommodate varying client demands week to week.

Compensation

• $19 - $21/hour with potential earning bonuses.
• $2200 - $2700/month.
• 30-minute visits paid at the starting rate of $14-$15 per visit, increasing to $16 per visit within the first year.
• Time and a half pay for holidays and short-notice requests.
• Client gratuity with 100% of client tips going to staff.
• Bonuses for client/staff referrals and reaching performance goals.
• Work materials provided (treats, poop bags, and other necessary items).
• Bonuses for obtaining Pet First Aid and Pet CPR certifications.
