Scope/Purpose of the Position

The Trainer collaborates cohesively with production to train the associates for all production positions including machine operators, line conductors, and/or packaging operators. The role includes training and developing each trainee, conducting weekly evaluations as needed, and leading by example for all operators.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Acclimate new hires to onboarding stages.
• Identify ways to enhance and improve the training program.
• Communicate with supervisors for daily training assignments.
• Plan and develop training course objectives.
• Assess training needs and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Provide effective training to increase work performance.
• Follow training program guidelines for all positions.
• Ensure completion of Qualification Cards for each position.
• Assist in downtime periods with various tasks.
• Shadow certified employees continually.
• Promote product and packaging quality.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-year experience in lean manufacturing or training preferred.
• High school/GED diploma required.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and react to changing priorities.
• Knowledge in HACCP and SQF.
• Understanding of safe work practices.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Physical dexterity necessary to handle supplies and tools.
• Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
