Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse - Pediatrics

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (RN/LPN) specializing in pediatrics to join Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem Inc. As a Care Team Nurse, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and providing clinical care, ensuring the well-being of our young patients and their families.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in infection control measures and pediatric care.
• Assess and address the physical, emotional, and social needs of pediatric patients and families.
• Provide urgent care, triage, and crisis management both in-office and over the phone.
• Document nursing care accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Facilitate communication among patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
• Administer vaccines, medications, and perform procedures with efficiency and professionalism.
• Coordinate post-hospitalization care to prevent complications.
• Stay updated with pediatric-centered education and training.
• Adhere to practice policies and procedures.
• Meet the physical demands of the position.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a care team.
• Proficient in handling sensitive medical information and HIPAA compliance.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and email.

Educational Requirements: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a current RN or LPN license in Massachusetts. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ongoing CEUs are necessary. Compliance with the American Nursing Association Standards of Practice.
