Rudman & Winchell LLC, a general practice law firm, is currently seeking a highly motivated attorney specializing in Civil Litigation to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling civil litigation cases, outstanding communication skills, and a dedication to providing top-tier legal representation.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
• Manage all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff for efficient case management.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
• Provide exceptional client service by ensuring regular communication and updates on case progress.
• Represent clients in various legal proceedings.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Maine.
• Experience in civil litigation.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to maintaining ethical standards.
• Willingness to travel locally and statewide for client needs.
• Flexible availability, including working beyond standard hours as required.
