Hydrogeologist (Early Career)

Job Description

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Early-Career Hydrogeologist to join our California Team at Montgomery & Associates. In this full-time position, you will provide analytical support for groundwater modeling projects and geographic information systems analysis. Your responsibilities will include working on various tasks and projects related to quantitative hydrogeology and groundwater resources management. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with our team of water resource scientists and engineers, contributing to projects that focus on sustainable groundwater management and implementing the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act in Northern California.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting lithologic, hydrologic testing, and borehole geophysical data.
• Developing water budgets and hydrogeologic conceptual models.
• Collaborating with task leads and project managers to support model inputs and updates.
• Evaluating hydrogeologic data gaps and preparing technical reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in hydrology, geology, or engineering; graduate degree preferred.
• Up to 4 years of experience in environmental and water resources consulting preferred.
• Proficient in GIS (ArcGIS), Survey123, SQL, and Access databases.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work in teams and in the field on occasion.
