Job Description
We are looking for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team at Middle River Aerostructure Systems, a world-leading manufacturer of aerospace components. As the Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting all aspects of assembly for legacy and NPI programs, focusing on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and technology development.
Responsibilities
- Provide production troubleshooting support and direction to manufacturing personnel.
- Develop and maintain assembly work instructions, repair plans, and tooling designs.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce labor hours.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design, quality, and program management.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
- Strong communication and CAD skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and quality methods preferred.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience with Catia V5 and GD&T.
- Background in aerospace manufacturing.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma methods.
