Job Description

The Leave Management Analyst plays a crucial role in investigating claims to determine eligibility for benefits and assisting individuals in establishing a plan for a swift return to work. This role supports our mission of aiding customers in reconstructing their lives after unexpected events or illnesses, adhering to corporate claim standards, policies and procedures, as well as statutory, regulatory, and ethics requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external customers to collect and relay relevant information regarding leave management claims.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service using professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Gather information, make sound decisions, and draw appropriate conclusions using critical thinking and mathematical aptitude.
  • Utilize business acumen and technical expertise to make ethical decisions with management oversight.
  • Maintain dedication to meeting internal and external customer expectations and requirements.
  • Facilitate a positive team environment that aligns with Group Benefit Claims Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and objectives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of claim experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on an analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors, including but not limited to performance, proficiency, and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $40,685 - $61,027.
