Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing/Production Maintenance Technician to join our team at Avtec Finishing. This is a full-time position that requires a jack-of-all-trades individual with mechanical aptitude to handle various maintenance tasks in our manufacturing/production environment. The primary responsibilities include carpentry, electrical work, welding, machine maintenance, plumbing, and HVAC tasks to ensure the shop runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical malfunctions with minimal supervision.
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and assembly drawings to execute maintenance tasks.
- Conduct basic welding tasks when necessary.
- Adhere to safety procedures and protocols, including lockout/tagout.
Requirements
- Trade school training or equivalent experience of at least 2 years.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good mechanical aptitude and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Compensation
- Wage Range: $26-$32+/hour based on experience and qualifications.
- Signing Bonus: $1,500.00 (not available for current employees).
- 1st Shift hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.
