1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are looking to hire a full-time 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team at Aldi. As a Package Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that merchandise is received, stored, and prepared for shipment accurately and safely.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill orders.
• Relocate merchandise according to handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and load merchandise in preparation for shipment.
• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain warehouse appearance and safety standards.
• Participate in warehouse inventory counts and communicate effectively with peers and leadership.
• Provide input to improve warehouse processes and assist in achieving goals.
• Inspect products for quality, safety, and sanitation issues.
• Operate equipment safely and notify management of any issues.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Demonstrate concern for quality, safety, and collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and follow instructions.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Move merchandise, sit, stand, bend, reach, and operate equipment safely.
• Work in varying temperatures and environments.
