Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, program, test, and deploy new user stories and features with high quality standards.
• Provide guidance and leadership to Associate and Senior Associate Application Engineers to foster growth and development.
• Ensure team commitments are met by leveraging strong communication and leadership skills.
• Guide design decisions and drive key results for assigned products.
• Address issues using engineering principles and proactively develop design solutions.
• Lead and contribute to technology communities at Discover.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java on Spring Boot and React.
• Expertise in designing and redesigning APIs, Microservices, applications, and systems.
• Proficiency in deploying applications to the cloud and testing, CI/CD, and Release Management.
• Strong documentation skills and Agile Environment experience.
