Title: Construction Intern

Job Type: Full-Time-Hourly/Non-Exempt
Location: Edmond, Oklahoma

General Purpose: Assist the superintendent with construction, maintenance, and lawn maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain landscaping, yards, shrubs, trees, and water sod.
• Help maintain clean streets and gutters.
• Perform minor touch-ups and activities on punch-list.
• Ensure the quality of the product.
• Comprehend the residential construction process.
• Walk through each room of every house daily.
• Deliver houses within set timelines.
• Keep signs upright and orderly.
• Communicate with sub-contractors.
• Lock and unlock doors daily.
• Present recommendations to Builder and Superintendent.
• Attend all staff meetings.

Requirements:

• High school diploma and six months of general labor experience or related work experience.
• Knowledge of erosion control guidelines.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and provide excellent customer service.
• Proficiency in working with technology.

Work Environment: Exposure to outdoor work sites including dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, and various weather conditions. Some physical demands required.

Tools and Equipment: Tablet/Phone, tape measure, levels, and basic painting/hand/power tools if necessary.
