Job Description

Join Discover Financial Services as an Identity and Access Management Engineer to design, develop, and operate security solutions. Collaborate with cybersecurity architects to align solutions with corporate goals and lead successful project implementations. Actively manage risk and escalate issues while staying informed about security trends and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and develop security solutions in alignment with cybersecurity strategy.
• Act as the subject matter expert for supported security technologies.
• Validate architectural models and guide project implementations.
• Provide direction to infrastructure and development teams, ensuring successful transitions and implementations.
• Manage relationships with security partners and vendors.
• Maintain knowledge of security trends, threats, and compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Information Security or related areas.
• Internal applicants require technical proficiency rating of competent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Identity Management tools.
• Knowledge of Java, XML, JSON, scripting languages, and modern frameworks.
• Understanding of LDAP, Directory Services, and networking topics.
• Technical interview required for external applicants.
