Director of Accounting

Job Description

Hercules Poly, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Director of Accounting to oversee the general ledger and accounting operations. As a key member of our team, you will analyze financial data, ensure accurate financial reporting, and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the general accounting function and report to the CFO.
• Supervise accounting teams at multiple locations, providing guidance and resolution of issues.
• Establish and maintain financial controls and procedures.
• Ensure timely Balance Sheet reconciliations and accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Manage month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Assist in financial statement preparation and regulatory reporting.
• Provide financial insight for decision-making and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Identify and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct financial investigations and continuous assessment of accounting procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5-7 years of accounting supervisory/management experience, preferably in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP software, NetSuite (Oracle) a plus.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skills in active listening, critical thinking, decision making, and attention to detail.
• Approximately 10% travel required.
• Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
