Environmental Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Environmental Technician to join our team at Goucher College. In this position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of college buildings under the supervision of the Associate Director and Environmental Services Supervisors. Responsibilities include cleaning offices, classrooms, restrooms, and other public areas, as well as performing tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash collection, and snow removal when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Vacuum, spot clean upholstered furniture, and clean baseboards.
• Sweep and mop stairs, landings by hand or machine.
• Clean offices, classrooms, public areas, and restrooms.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and related furnishings.
• Sanitize and disinfect restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable material.
• Assist in snow removal activities as assigned.

Requirements

• Combination of training, experience, and education related to custodial cleaning.
• Minimum three years of custodial experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively.

Starting Salary

$15.27 per hour
