Mechanical (Solidworks) Engineer - Matteson, IL

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Solidworks to join our team at Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC in Matteson, IL. As part of our innovative engineering team, you will design cranes, material handling equipment, and other devices in a collaborative 3-D environment using Solidworks.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical drive systems and perform sizing calculations for motors, gearboxes, and other components.
• Annotate drawings with standardized symbols and develop Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Collaborate with other disciplines for turn-key projects and design changes to existing equipment.
• Provide technical support and develop technical specifications for customer use.
• Optimize crane components to reduce costs and enhance delivery schedules in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated individual with leadership abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of five years of related experience.
• Proficient in Solidworks or Pro-E, Excel, and Word.
• Knowledge of ASME, AISC, and CMAA standards.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including nuclear power plants.
