Job Summary
Join the Utah Transit Authority as a Mechanic/Technician Apprentice in a competency-based program. In this role, you will participate in technical instruction, classroom learning, and practical hands-on tasks to develop expertise in maintenance and repair. Assist skilled employees in complex repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections following industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to obtain a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement within 60 days.
- Educational requirements including a 2-year degree, military MOS, technical school experience, or UTA work experience.
Shift:
3:00 pm to 1:30 am with rotating days off. Pay progression throughout the four-year program leading to a Journeyist classification.
