Principal Product Owner

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Principal Product Owner to join the dynamic team at Discover Financial Services. As a key player in the product development process, you will be responsible for ensuring that product outcomes meet the needs of stakeholders and customers by leveraging your expertise in business understanding and technical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and escalate risks and customer issues to leadership.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align product features with the vision and roadmap.
• Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
• Establish and maintain key product documentation and define non-functional requirements.
• Prioritize and update the product backlog while ensuring compliance standards are met.
• Create and validate user story acceptance criteria and testing frameworks.
• Partner with technology teams to optimize system components and infrastructure.
• Foster a culture of accountability and ownership within the product team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
• 6+ years’ experience in Product, Business, or Technical roles.

Compensation

Competitive base salary range: $110,500.00 to $154,900.00, with additional incentives.
