REGISTERED NURSE SUPERVISOR (RN) - SOUTHPORT HEALTH AND REHABILITATION CENTER

Job Description

We are currently looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) to join our team at Southport Health and Rehabilitation Center. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the nursing staff and ensuring the best possible patient care during your shift. Additionally, you will assist the Director of Nursing in coordinating and directing the Nursing Services Department. Responsibilities

• Supervise the nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Assist the Director of Nursing in leading and coordinating the Nursing Services Department.
• Oversee nursing services in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
• Provide supervision and assistance to nurses during acute episodes.
• Handle employee issues promptly and document actions taken.
• Be available for on-call responsibilities.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and a valid RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Ability to deliver quality nursing care, follow medical orders, and show genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certification on an annual basis.
• Willingness to attend required in-service training and staff meetings.
• Experience in supervising nursing staff and ensuring timely completion of work assignments.
• Familiarity with relevant policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
