Resident Monitor-Security - (2nd Shift) Glover House

Job Description

We are looking for a Resident Monitor-Security to join the Glover House team on the 2nd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and supervising adult male ex-offenders in a correctional residential and community setting. The position involves maintaining accountability of ex-offenders, enforcing safety and security measures, and performing general office duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervising residents within the facility and community.
• Enforcing house rules and safety protocols.
• Administering necessary tests and checks.
• Preparing and maintaining reports and documentation.
• Participating in training sessions and staff meetings.
• Carrying out all other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior work experience in corrections or related field preferred.
• Clearance of background checks, physical exam, and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license; Insured automobile preferred.
• Excellent communication and crisis intervention skills.
• Experience with security equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Working Conditions

This position involves working in an adult correctional halfway house setting, operating 24/7 as the primary residence for residents.

Physical Demands

Must be physically able to climb stairs, walk, conduct emergency evacuations, provide First Aid and CPR, and lift up to 50lbs.
