Surgical Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Surgical Assistant to join our elite oral surgery practice at Pikes Peak Oral Surgery. As a key member of our team, you will assist surgeons during procedures, provide preoperative and postoperative care, and ensure the best clinical outcomes for our patients. While previous oral surgery experience is beneficial, it is not required for this role. We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented team player to contribute to our commitment to exceptional patient care and service.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform preoperative and postoperative tasks to assist in patient care.
• Ensure patient safety by verifying identities and operative sites.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by maintaining aseptic techniques and providing necessary instruments.
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies.
• Monitor patient status and assist with imaging and documentation.
• Other duties as assigned to support clinical operations.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required (or ability to complete within 1 month of hire).
• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• DAANCE certification, dental assistant license, and radiology certification are beneficial.
