Position: Part Time Certified Peer Specialist
Location: Walnutport, PA
Pay Rate: $15.85/HR
About the Role: As a Certified Peer Specialist at COMHAR's Long Term Structured Residence (LTSR), you will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide essential support and counseling to individuals on their recovery journey. The position involves a range of responsibilities aimed at promoting wellness and independence among residents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement educational and support groups.
• Assist individuals in developing and practicing skills outlined in their recovery plans.
• Provide training in activities of daily living, social skill building, and vocational training.
• Facilitate community meetings and peer support initiatives.
• Accompany individuals to appointments and engage in crisis intervention as needed.
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 months of related mental health experience.
• Valid PA State clearances and driver's license.
• Certified Peer Specialist Certification, CPR, and First Aid certified.
• Ability to maintain compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
