Client Intake and Triage Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Client Intake and Triage Specialist to join Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV). As a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to ending Veteran homelessness, MACV provides comprehensive programs in housing, employment, and legal services. The Client Intake and Triage Specialist will be the first point of contact for Veterans in crisis, assessing eligibility for MACV services and providing referrals to community resources.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess Veteran eligibility for services via phone, email, and walk-in inquiries.
• Document and forward eligible referrals to case managers for further assistance.
• Maintain client records and confidentiality in compliance with regulations.
• Assist with administrative tasks and support service delivery processes.
• Communicate effectively with Veterans and community partners.
• Acquire necessary documentation to facilitate referral processes.

Requirements

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with database management and information tracking.
• Understanding of veteran-related issues and community resources.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Valid Driver's License.

Compensation

Salary Range: $43,000 - $48,000 per year.
