Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at First Student, the largest school transportation provider in North America. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of school buses to ensure vehicle safety and readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance checks.
  • Diagnose and perform repairs on various vehicle components including brakes, suspensions, and transmissions.
  • Ensure accurate completion of work orders and provide mobile emergency services when needed.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license required; willingness to obtain CDL while employed.
  • Minimum of 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience or relevant technical education.
  • Must have a mechanic's tool set and be willing to participate in ASE certification program.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
