Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Diesel or Automotive Mechanic to join our team at First Student. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure their safety and reliability. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $25 to $34 per hour, plus additional incentives for ASE certifications. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, safety and DOT inspections on school buses.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle components like brakes, suspensions, and transmissions.
• Ensure accurate completion of work orders and provide guidance to junior technicians.
• Participate in ASE certification program and training provided by the company.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain CDL during employment.
• 1-5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience or technical school education.
• Mechanic's tool set and readiness to participate in training programs.
• Compliance with DOT regulations for drug testing and physical requirements.
