Mechanic

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Master Mechanic to join RICH TRANSPORT LLC. As a Master Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repair work and maintenance on tractors, trailers, and other motor vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Consult with drivers to gather information on vehicle history and maintenance requirements.
• Identify mechanical problems using visual inspections and diagnostic equipment.
• Conduct tests on parts and systems to ensure proper operation.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks like oil changes and tune-ups.
• Repair or replace faulty parts like brake shoes/pads and water pumps.
• Test repaired vehicles to confirm proper operations.
• Complete post-repair testing and inspections.
• Handle any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues visually.
• Capability to read service manuals and work orders.
• Aptitude for timely repairs.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of related experience.
• CDL is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat for repairs and inspections.
• Capability to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work in noisy environments with various odors.
• Must have good vision for inspecting repair work.
