Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health on a full-time basis during afternoons. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in monitoring patient safety, providing procedural information, and contributing to the effective operation of the department.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following verification of patient identification and physician order.
- Acquire and document accurate patient history in medical records.
- Monitor patients during procedures for safety.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and ensure timely relay of STAT requests to radiologists.
- Utilize ALARA standards for radiation exposure minimization.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients and families.
- Assist in training new hires and students.
- Maintain competency in all assigned areas and ensure equipment cleanliness and proper stocking.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT required upon hire.
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT required within 180 days.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA required upon hire.
