Job Description
We are currently hiring for the position of Special Procedure Tech at Corewell Health. The Special Procedure Tech will provide direct care and support for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures, ensuring quality patient-centered care and assisting physicians throughout the process. The role involves monitoring patients, performing IV starts, documenting procedures, and educating patients and families on post-procedure care. Additionally, the Special Procedure Tech will maintain radiation safety standards, perform quality assurance checks on equipment, and participate in on-call schedules as required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide technical support.
- Perform IV starts, hemodynamic monitoring, and documentation of procedures.
- Ensure radiation safety standards are maintained and equipment is in working order.
- Participate in on-call schedules and provide assistance to physicians as needed.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited radiography program for Interventional Radiology or equivalent training for Cath Lab/EP Lab.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab, or IR.
- Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and RT status as required.
- Strong communication, customer service, and computer skills.
