Job Description
Corewell Health is currently seeking a full-time Special Procedure Tech to join our team. As a Special Procedure Tech, you will provide direct care to patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures, assisting physicians and ensuring quality patient-centered care throughout the process. This role involves performing IV starts, prepping patients, monitoring hemodynamics, operating equipment, documenting procedures, and educating patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients undergoing routine invasive procedures.
- Provide intra-procedural technical support and quality patient-centered care.
- Perform and record hemodynamic/physiologic waveforms and calculations.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, physicians, patients, and families.
- Maintain radiation safety standards for staff and patients.
Requirements
- Educational background in related healthcare programs.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab, or IR.
- Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and RT status.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
